Accessing the new Mensa International SIGHT Map from the September 2023 Mensa International Newsletter. 

• ​If you're familiar with the map of SIGHT hosts (all of whom have agreed to be on the map), you might be wondering why we now have a login page on thesightmap.org. This is because we're in the last stage of testing the new SIGHT map, which has much-improved security, more control for hosts to edit their information, and better protection. If it all goes according to plan, we'll let you know in the next issue of this newsletter. If you still want to access the old map, here it is – for the time being, anyway.
  If you haven't done so already, create a profile at www.mensa.org and enable your vanity address (on the first screen after logging in), so you can receive emails directed to firstname.lastname.country@member.mensa.org . You'll need it on the new map, so be prepared and get yours now!

• The new map is better, much improved and a Mensa-member-only SIGHT host map! We are moving to the new map, leaving the old one from Google maps behind. The new map is more scalable (suited for bigger numbers of hosts), hosts can themselves edit their own data, national SIGHT coordinators have possibilities to help if needed and access to the map is limited to Mensa-members by using an email from Mensa (or one which you already used on the map).

  • ​If you were already on the map with an email address, you can use that to login. IF you don't remember which one you can look at the TO address, or at the old map, still available at https://bit.ly/sightmensa.

  • Once you clicked the magic link in your email within the 20 minutes time limit, you can see the world map with all the known hosts who agreed to be on the 'old' map. If you are also on the map with an icon/profile, you can now claim your profile to be yours: locate the icon with your name, click it and next choose 'Claim this profile' and next click on 'Send me a magic link'.

  • If the email address which is listed is that of a coordinator, please contact your national coordinator to change the email address of your profile to one you can access.

  • Hosts can create a maximum of two profiles: useful if you have two houses, or are with two mensans in one family. Normally one should be enough, but you have the possibility to create a second if needed.

  • In case you cannot claim your own profile, please try to contact your national SIGHT coordinator first. Or when the problem remains, contact Henkhenk at sight@mensa.org with subject=Map .
