The Problem: Regional Qld Mensans want more happening in regional Qld.

Ideally, we need Qld regional Mensans to solve this problem. We need regional Qld Mensans to make this happen. I am happy to help.

This issue has been highlighted in a discussion on Facebook Group "M in Q" over the 2 weeks to 5 November 2023.

Regional Qld Mensans, please help us solve this problem?

Current ideas for a possible interim solution to this issue are as follows:-

• As a starting point, a "Regional Qld Mensan Connector" Community chatgroup within Facebook group "M in Q" has been set up as a starter as a test of that concept.  One benefit of that facility is that it does not require any further administration by anyone else .. which keeps it simple.

  • Give us feedback about whether this idea helps

• If there is a strong demand for a separate Facebook group for Regional Q Mensans ("M in Q regional"), we can do that too ... but that will require someone to administer it ..... which I am happy to do as an interim if that is what all the regional Mensans want ..... Members of  "M in Q regional" Facebook Group would need to be a member of "M in Q" Facebook Group to be approved. 

• Any Regional Qld Mensan can already set up a Regional Facebook Event (you can see a few existing events there at the moment so you can see what you can already set up), within the "M in Q" Facebook Group ... if that helps ..... 

• And I can always put a Regional Qld Mensa event into the Mensa Calendar for you and send out invitations if that helps too ..... 

• Do you have any other ideas that you would like to suggest to help solve this problem?

Mensa is a volunteer association.  To solve this problem, we need regional Qld Mensans to be part of the solution.   Please help us to solve this problem.   Please provide us with feedback and your ideas.

• Regional Mensans interested in creating events in their region include Kylie in the Whitsunday area, James in Bundaberg, Claire in Yeppoon, Steve at the northern end of the Gold Coast, Vicki on the Gold Coast - and I note that Karim often comes to Brisbane events from the Gold Coast.
